Three Fitzpatrick sisters from Cloonfad on the Mayo-Roscommon border were celebrating this week after all three of them gave birth to babies on the same day in Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar. The three sisters gave birth to one boy and two girls in a 14 hour period, with Mairead giving birth to Thomás Og at 3.25am, Jolene giving birth to the only girl, baby Sorcha, at 11am, and Bernie giving birth to baby Phelim at 8.30pm.
